About the conference
The biennial Florida Self-Advocacy Conference is the largest gathering devoted to self-advocacy in the state. More than 140 self-advocates, their allies, parents, and providers are expected in support of the self-advocacy movement in Florida.

The 2025 conference will include training from FL SAND's Breaking Barriers Training Academy focused on expanding the influence of the self-advocate voice in Florida, as well as positively impacting people with developmental disabilities in all aspects of life. From our keynote address Friday evening to Saturday afternoon breakout sessions, the vast majority of presenters and trainers at the Florida Self-Advocacy Conference are self-advocates.
