Karolyn Campbell
Disability advocate and Orange County Soil and Water Conservation District Representative. First legally blind elected official in Florida
Supervisor Karolyn C. Campbell, vice chair of the Orange County Soil and Water Conservation District, is the first blind elected official in Florida. A passionate servant leader, she holds an MBA in Finance and Aviation, an MS in System Engineering, and several undergraduate degrees. She is a currently a Sustainment Engineer working for the Navy.

A passionate disability advocate, Ms. Campbell is the treasurer of the National Federation of the Blind of Central Florida, a member of Access the Vote--Disability Rights Florida, and visits legislators and staff in Washington D.C., Tallahassee, and locally to advocate for bills that impact people with disabilities. She was recently awarded the National Federation of the Blind's Member of the Year award.

She has been a member of the League of Women Voters of Orange County for five years and is a Co-Chair of the Government Committee and is a member of their Voter Services and Natural Resources Committees.
An immigrant, U.S. Citizen, and minority woman, she is a speaker, mentor and champions initiatives for those with visible and invisible disabilities. She promotes issues impacting accessibility, diversity, women, marginalized communities, the LGBTQ+A community, veterans, and careers in science, technology, engineering, arts, and math (STEAM). In addition to her full-time federal position, and elected position, she works part-time at Walt Disney World and volunteers and leads several boards and committees. She continues to be a servant leader and change agent, seeking creative solutions.
