Though designed for self-advocates, the Route to Self-Determination is a great opportunity for caregivers and other support persons to learn more about self-determination and self-advocacy. Support staff accompanying self-advocate learners are welcome to attend and observe but are asked to register. Staff and/or caregivers not accompanied by self-advocate clients who are interested in attending should contact us after May 28 to see if there are extra seats available.

FL SAND's Breaking Barriers Training Academy was created in 2020 to provide a platform for self-advocates to train other self-advocates, parents, providers, and disability stakeholders in the areas of self-determination, self-advocacy, and other disability-related topics. MAGICAL is FL SAND's grassroots advocacy group serving the Greater Orlando Area.
